On January 1st 2006 HACCP legislation was introduced into the UK. The law stated "It is a legal requirement for all food businesses to put in place procedures based on food safety management (HACCP) principles" FSA.
This means EVERYONE in the food industry except farmers. It also covers food manufacture, catering and retail. It is a legal requirement and will be enforced by your local authority.
Failure to do so could result in fines or closure of your business.
