Online COSHH Training for the Food Industry - Level 2
This Accredited Level 2 course is the only online course which has being designed specifically for people who work within the Food Industry.
Workers in the food industry are exposed to a variety of substances that could potentially damage their health. These substances range from fumes, oils and chemicals, to less obvious substances such as fruits and vegetables and decorative plants.
Under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations, (2002), all managers and supervisors of workplaces, must analyse the substances present in their workplace for their potential hazards and must have a COSHH Assessment.
If companies employ more than 5 employees, this COSHH Assessment should be a written document.
This online Level 2 Award in COSHH in the Food Industry will give Managers, Supervisors and Employees an insight into exactly how to follow and comply with the 2002 COSHH Regulations.
This Level 2 COSHH Award is intended for:-
- All staff who work in the food industry includind Owners, Managers, Supervisors and Employees who must understand COSHH and COSHH Regulations and how these affect and influence their work.
- All Managers and Supervisors who have the responsibility to create, update and maintain the COSHH Assessment.
Course Content
This Level 2 COSHH Award covers the following topics:-
- Explains the principles of the 2002 COSHH Regulations and how these affect your business and job role.
- Gives those designated to write a Company COSHH Assessment the knowledge to be able to complete it easily, and without resorting to expensive consultants.
- Provides all of the blank templates needed to produce your COSHH Assessment.
- How to understand the Data Sheets provided by your suppliers and to use them to create your assessments.
- How to decide upon the precautions you must put in place and when to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- New labelling and International Symbols which have now replaced those of the European Union.
Certification
The Level 2 COSHH in the Food Industry Award carries a CPD, (Continuing Professional Development), Certificate. Successful candidates, who achieve a score of 20 or more correct answers (out of 30), will be awarded a CPD certificate. This can be printed directly from their PC. A further copy for the candidates records is also sent to their chosen email address.
