Those engaged in food operations who come directly or indirectly into contact with food should be trained, and/or instructed in food hygiene to a level appropriate to the operations they are to perform (Codex Alimentarius, Third Edition).
When the old 'Basic Food Hygiene' certificate was replaced, the new certificate had all the elements of food hygiene and HACCP combined. This new certificate was called the Food Safety Certificate. This new certificate is available in three different disaplines manufacturing, catering and retail and has been devided into two levels, level 1 and 2.
This Food Safety/HACCP course consists of 11 sections, these section have interactive quizzes to aid the learning process.

When the learner is ready to be assessed they access the assessment which will transfer them to a live link connection with EDI, who will provide the 20 question multiple choice test. You are required to achieve 15 correct answers to pass the course which will then enable you to print the electronically generated certificate.
